On Becoming an Attending Physician, Lead Placement for Cardioversion in Atrial Fibrillation, ECMO for Hypothermia, YEARS and the Adjust-Unlikely for PE

Team JC would like to extend a happy and healthy 2023 to all our EPT/EVMS family. January marks our first JC of 2023, and we appreciate the high JC turnout from your significant others. This month we will be looking at a variety of topics all of which have been designated as “high-impact” from EM journal editors. Please take some time to review the articles which always helps to contribute to our discussion regarding applicability in our patient population. We would love to see a big turnout from our newer Attendings. Our residents ALWAYS appreciate your perspective and advice. I’ve included an article on navigating the resident-to-attending transition and we would sincerely appreciate the advice from newer Attending’s so, please come out and help add to the discussion.
